The tree is shaking now that RIM has announced the new Curve lineup and carriers are falling out confirming theBlackBerryCurve9360. Other than Sprint they are not talking launch dates but they are confirming the device. You have to love how US carriers are always the quietest. Here are the latest confirmed carriers:
If the BlackBerry Bold 9900 has captured your imagination and you happen to live in the UK, then listen. RIM’s upcoming powerhouse of a BlackBerry smartphone has now made an appearance on O2 UK’s website with a “coming soon” label pointing at an August release. No exact release date as of yet, but you can tell that the wait is soon coming to an end.
Other carriers in the UK have announced future availability of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 as well, with Three UK promising a September 15th launch and Vodafone UK taking it easy with only a “coming soon” banner and no mention of anymore detail. It should be noted that Phones4u has already revealed both pricing and details on availability (via Vodafone) with a delivery date of August 24th for pre-orders. Whether a release in late August or earlier, the release is near – I can feel it.

An unofficial Three UK blog has rumored that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 will be available for purchase on September 15th. This is the first solid date we’ve seen for the device thus far, though keep in mind it was posted on a Three UK rumor blog and not via an official press release or site. Noted is that the device will be available in black at launch with an all white version to follow a month down the road. We’ve seen the device listed on the Three UK coming soon page more than once now, so it’s good to finally have a date to put in the books. Hopefully other carriers will kick into gear now and drop some release dates of their own. Bring on the Bold 9900!!
A couple of weeks ago we told you that Three UK stated the release date (listed on their coming soon page) for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 was due on the network in August. Upon revisiting this same page however, the date has been changed to September, further fueling the uncertainly on the exact release date of the much anticipated device. Jump onto the Carphone Warehouse coming page and you’ll find that they’ve given a more vague “Expected August” release date – noting the ‘expected due date is subject to change without notice’.
On another note, the SIM free price has been confirmed as £399, which sounds just about right as the Bold 9780/9700 were priced in that range too. You can also find the BlackBerry Bold 9900 available for pre-order already on such sites as Expansys.
