If you happen to be lucky enough to have one of the yet to be released BlackBerry Curve 9350 or Curve 9370 you will be happy to know that Sprint has released a brand new official OS. 7.0.0.261 is available for download, and while we are unsure of what it fixes, or any issues that it may contain, it is yours to install. As usual, be sure to proceed with caution while installing this OS and be sure to jump in the forums and let us know how it goes for you.

Sprint seems to be in love with the new BlackBerry 7 devices as they are all over the BlackBerry Bold 9930, Torch 9850 and now the upcoming BlackBerry Curve 9350 (kind of makes you wonder why they passed on the PlayBook). They announced today that they will carry the new BlackBerry Curve 9350 and it will be available on September 9th for $79.99. So if you’re looking for an alternative to the Bold 9930 or Torch 9850 you can pick this up in just a few weeks.

Sprint BlackBerry Curve 9350 Coming September 9th for $79.99 or Less

Now that RIM has made the new BlackBerry Curve lineup official carriers are starting to weigh in. The first in the US is Sprint which has confirmed the BlackBerry Curve 9350 for a September 9th (Friday) launch. The 9350 will be selling for $79.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement, after a $50 mail-in rebate via reward card. It will be available from all Sprint sales channels, including Sprint Stores, Business Sales, Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1) and web sales (www.sprint.com).

There is also a nice discount for Sprint Business customers who may qualify to get the 9350 for $49.99 on a business account with a new line or eligible upgrade and new one- or two-year service agreement, after a $50 mail-in rebate via reward card.

BlackBerry Curve 9360 Gets Hands On – Differences Between 9350 9360 & 9370

RIM has been showing off the BlackBerry Curve 9360 that they just announced. The first to post a hands on preview of the release device is Engadget which got a nice gallery full of images. Many of you are also probably wondering what the difference is between the BlackBerry Curve 9350, 9360, and 9370. Thankfully Bla1ze managed to get to the bottom of it with the following differences mostly regarding network compatibility and device storage:

  • BlackBerry Curve 9350 – CDMA with 512MB of RAM / 512MB of storage.
  • BlackBerry Curve 9360 – GSM Tri-Band UMTS/Quad-Band EDGE with 512MB / 512MB of storage.
  • BlackBerry Curve 9370 – CDMA/EVDO/Quad-Band EDGE with 512MB of RAM / 1GB of storage.
